What Does Late Mean?

The last 2 Sundays we have been late to church, but with church now being at 9 am, it is hard for everyone to get up, but I am not one of them. I am usually the first one to get ready for church and then I get everyone up. Last week, I can't remember why we were late, but my oldest didn't go, he hurt is back, but he did go today. Today, 3 of us had to have showers, well my oldest took a bath and when that happens, we tend to be late and not setting the alarm is the other reason. I usually don't set the alarm during the week, cause Will doesn't get home from work until 2 am. Anyway, when we are late, we sit on the couch in the foyer and for us that is a good place to sit and I know that is sad. If no seats are available on the back row, the couch is where we sit. Most families when they are late, go in and find a seat, but because of my youngest, who is 4 and how he behaves sometimes, we have to sit on the back row or on the couch, like we have had to do the last 2 Sundays. I hope we will be on time to church next Sunday because it is Ward Conference.

Zach's 7th Birthday

A few days after Zach's 3rd birthday

Zach's 4th birthday

Zach's 5th Birthday

Zach's 6th Birthday

It is hard to believe that Zach is now 7, where did the time go? He is a wonderful son and I love him, well I love all of my sons. He loves puppies and kittens, so maybe someday we will have a dog again. Yes, I would rather have a dog, but my kids want a puppy. He also loves the snow, so he loves sledding and he always goes with his dad for that. He also loves McDonalds, playing Wii Bowling(he is really good at that game) and playing with his brothers. He loves riding the bus to school and so he likes school, well I think he likes school, he says he does. He also loves fans, keychains with keys on them and receipts and most of those are related to his mild Autism. His favorite color is yellow, his favorite icecream is Cookies and Cream and he just loves to go in the car and just go somewhere, like Walmart. He likes movies that have dogs and cats in them and he also likes Disney movies, well so does the rest of us. The last 2 movies that he saw in the theatre were "Hotel For Dogs" and "Marley and Me" and he really liked both of those movies. He also loves to listen to Queen, well some of the songs that is.

With my husbands work schedule the way it is, we really can't celebrate his birhtday until the weekend, but Zach doesn't care, it is just another day to him. I hope you enjoyed the pictures of him, but they start at age 2, I didn't get a digital camera, until he was almost 3 and I haven't put any pictures on the computer yet, of him younger than 2, but I will someday soon.

Not Looking Forward To It

Tomorrow, I have to have surgery and well I am getting nervous about it and somewhat scared. I found a mole a few weeks ago and I have had this mole for I believe most of my life, but the mole has changed shape and color, which isn't good at all. I saw my regular doctor who looked at it and he referred me to a general surgeon, who also looked at it and he said we need to remove it as soon as possible, so they can do a biopsy of the mole and then I will get the results in a week and it will be negative, just being positive about it. Well, I saw the pre-op nurse today and registered and I will be considered an out patient. She gave me some instructions to follow, like I can't wear any jewelry, which I can do; I can't eat anything after 9 pm the day before the surgery and drink anything after midnight. Then the big one for me, is you can't wear any make-up and I always have to wear make-up before I leave the house, because well I look much younger, well people think I am younger then I actually am anyway, but I have to do this, so I will be okay. I also have to have a ride home, which I do, my wonderful husband.

The other thing I don't like, is the time I have to be there, which is 6:15 am and my surgery to remove the mole, is at 7:30 am. With it being that early, my husband Will has to come home early from work tonight. He usually works 3:15 pm-1:45 am and he comes home for dinner at 7 pm, so since he is my ride to the hospital, he has to come home early, so he can get some sleep before I have to be at the hospital. Also, with it being that early, Will gets to drop me off and come home, so he can get the kids ready for school and he also has to take Ethan to school. He will come back to the hospital after Zach gets on the bus, which is around 8:45 am and then he will come to the hospital. The surgery will already be over with, but I have to stay after the surgery, so I can walk around okay and be alert, cause they are giving me something to make me sleepy, so I will not be totally out. So after the surgery, they want me to stay about 1-2 hours, which is fine with me and then Will can take me home. Will is also taking the day off tomorrow, so he can help me with the kids. Also, if I am feeling better tomorrow night, we are going to the college and getting our taxes done, they do it for free if you make under a certain amount, which we do. We like to do our taxes early, so we can get our refund faster and we need our refund.

I just wanted to let everyone know, who reads my blog. I will let everyone know when I get the results and it will be good news.

TAGGED!! My friend Ginger tagged me... Heres the game:

Connor
My friend Ginger tagged me, but I am going to do it alittle different, since I have done this tag before. Instead of opening your 6th picture folder and opening the 6th picture, it will be the 8th picture folder and the 8th picture.

1. Go to your picture folder, or wherever you store your pictures.
2. Go to the 8th folder and select the 8th picture.
3. Post the picture and tell the story that goes along with it.
4. Tag your friends, then post a comment on their blog letting them know they've been tagged!
The above picture is of Connor and he is almost 8 months old in this picture. This picture was taken June 25, 2005 at the Gold Family Reunion that we were having in Ramona California. We also were celebrating my Grandma Gold's 90th birthday on June 23 and my sister Amy also got married in San Diego on June 22. It was a fun weekend and it was great seeing cousins, aunts and uncles that I haven't seen in along time.
Now I choose four bloggers to do the same:
1. Tonya
2. Tammi
3. Ashley
4. Matty

January's Friendship Night

Last night was Friendship night, that I have once a month and this year I am doing it on the third Wednesday of each month, so last night was time for it. The last several months, I have had only 3-5 people show up, but 8 people showed up last night and so that made me very happy. We played a game with some yarn. I told each person to cut a piece of yarn, it could be short or long and I didn't tell them what we were doing until everyone had their piece of yarn and I also participated. When everyone had their yarn, I told them the game, which was to tell everyone about yourself. You would wrap your piece of yarn around your finger and you keep telling everyone about yourself, until your piece of yarn was at the end. So some people told alittle about themselves and others told many things about themselves. I found this game on the internet and it was a lot of fun.
I love to collect sayings and I keep all of them in a box, so I found a saying that I wanted to give to everyone. It says, "To Be Someone Special, Believe That You Are." I don't know where I got this saying, but I have had it for years. I think everyone needs to be reminded of this and I have always had a hard time believing this myself. I try to remind myself that I am someone special, but I don't think I am. See, I wore glasses from the ages of 4-16 and let me tell you I hating those things. People made fun of me right and left and what gets to me the most is, I never stood up for myself and I just let people do this to me over and over again. I was very shy and that is probably why I never said anything to the people that were making fun of me, because I was afraid I would of made it worse. I had friends that didn't care about my glasses and so they liked me for me, no matter what, but I wish everyone felt that way. It just seems like, Junior High is the worse age and to me Junior High was the worse 3 years of my life. Yes, I did have good times during those years, but it just seemed like it was more bad than good. It is still hard for me talking about this and it happened years ago. I am 36 years old and I can't seem to let go of this sometimes, but I am trying.
Anyway, everyone really liked the saying and then we had deseret, that one of the ladies brought and it was delicious. All and all the evening turned out really well and now I have to think of what to do for Friendship Night for February.
